You may wonder why we need specific training to be able to work on a high voltage vehicle. Well a high voltage vehicle is any vehicle that has any more than 60 Volts DC. This could be anything from a hybrid car like the Toyota Prius to a full EV like a Tesla Model Y. The voltage and amperage flowing through the components on these cars, if not worked with correctly, could cause serious harm to either the technician or the car itself. Therefore, the training programmes our technicians take part in are essential.
